MPCians Studio Tour at GMA

Around 9am in the morning of September 15, 2016, we the Marymount Professional Colleges students went to GMA Network in Kamuning to have a tour in their studios. We experience a lot of things such as follows;

Studio 7

We've entered this first room, they called this Studio 7. This studio act as their main floor on almost their programs. At first glance all of us thinks that this studio is just for small shows, but we are shock when they told us that they use this on almost all of their shows. The room looks small compared to what we see in the television, but they said that its just camera angles and lights that helps to make this studio looks big. We saw a lot of lights in the ceiling which they said costs around 5,000 pesos per piece. This studio often used by Sunday Pinasaya Group who airs every sunday noon.

Studio 5

Next is this studio. They called this studio often used on news and other educational shows. We are impressed on the camera that they use here, it has two screens; the one serves as the main screen and the other one reflects the script on the screen which cant be seen on the actual show. The most common show that airs here is 24 oras which airs daily every night.

Radio Station LS 97.1

On this studio, we met the very cool radio DJ Papa Dudut. He's a very kind and approachable dj. Found on this studio are a couple of computers which he said he used for working on a radio station. 

Studio 4

Familiar on the set of Unang hirit you are seeing on television? looks clean and cozy right? but it doesnt. When we entered this studio we found out that this studio is just a small and not that well maintained room. But the guide says that before the shows starts here this room transformed in a descent and cozy workplace for the hosts. Kudos to the maintenance team of those shows who used this studio.

Studio 3

The last stop we had is on this studio called Studio 3. The show MARS are the one that often used this studio. We met the hosts of the show; Suzie Entrata-Abrera and Camille Prats, and their guest for the day; Lola Pat, Osang and Adele's impersonator. The crew specially the director are very energetic and funny. The director even socialize on the crowd and other staff when they are on a break.

All in all the experience we had on the Studio Tour on GMA was Magnificent. We learned a lot of things from the different studios and their purpose, to the materials and gadgets that they used, up to the staff and crew of each show on how they communicate and work with each other. We thank every staff and crew that we met on the tour, specially on the tour guide who accompany us on the visit we thank those guys for their patience and kindness.
